Hey hey! I’m Emerald — a Guyanese-American, Black, Christian woman out here trying to balance Jesus, WiFi, and my dreams while limiting anxiety attacks (jk, but actually though....).
I’m a proud HBCU grad (quick shout out to Oakwood University class of 24' WOOHOOO WE CONQURED COVID 19!!!!)  now deep in the trenches of grad school, studying clinical mental health counseling (because apparently helping people and having emotional breakdowns at 2 a.m. is my ministry). I am currently navigating my early 20s, which they call “the defining decade,” but let’s be real — it’s more like the “confusing, expensive, figure-it-out-as-you-go” era.
